First, understand that God is usually not the

First, understand that God is usually not the source of our issues! We have to understand the effect of our own decisions, repercussions, and free will. But, IF God does bring us to a situation, He will ALWAYS provide provision for it’s challenges…

Just like with Abram and his son, Jonah and the fish, the children of Israel in the wilderness, etc… though situations were uncomfortable, God always provided relief and resolution, and just the same shall He be with YOU.

Therefore, worry not!!! He will take care of you if you simply trust and follow Him.

Bless you,

Progressive Destruction

“The best way to destroy someone is slowly so that they won’t recognize what is happening until it’s too late, and then when the final blow is dealt, they will not be able to defend themselves from it.”  ~Kelvin N. Broadus, from ‘Life Warfare’

When we are going through this life, we must realize that we are not only under constant assault, but that we must also be careful not to constantly support our own destruction.  By all means, when we face an obvious threat and are backed into the corner, we typically will bite, scratch, and claw our way out or give it every effort to escape.  However, what about those times when it isn’t so obvious?

Many times, we are under assault and don’t even know it.  We are even supporting it progressively, and not even aware.  Every negative, meditative thought is a subtle attack on the abundant, at peace life that we are promised by our creator!  This is why the Bible admonishes us in “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (2 Cor 10:5).  These types of thoughts are sent to us by our enemies, both internally and externally, skillfully orchestrated by the “powers and principalities” that exist to keep us from becoming all that we are destined to become.  And, they are so subtle, that we will often excuse them away from being the progressive, detrimental threat that they truly are, a threat that will ultimately lead to your stagnation and/or destruction.

Know this… the enemy is real!  And, he is a their who “comes only to steal and kill and destroy!” (John 10:10).  This spiritual enemy is after you so “be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8).  Understanding how such an enemy operates will help equip you to overcome, BUT YOU MUST RECOGNIZE the SUBTLE and PROGRESSIVE approach!!

Even an lion in the jungle is progressive.  The lion hides in tall grass watching the groups of prey, and just the same, your enemy is looking at more than just you seeing which if you is easiest to pick off.  It is an intimidation game, and just as the animals being watched feel the tension in the air and don’t recognize the source, people also will feel the danger in the air and excuse it to be paranoia, all the while progressively developing more doubt, fear, and even sabotaging themselves with their own constant negative meditation and negative thought.  This weakens you over time, gradually, and while this lion is still hiding in the grass without you recognizing the mind game being played on you, he waits until you become weak enough… and then… ATTACK!!!

Unfortunately, by then, your faith has become so weak, and you’ve been battered emotionally so long, that you are now helpless to fight it.  This is why it is so very important to constantly pray (without ceasing), FEED your SPIRIT with the Word of God, fellowship with encouraging (COURAGE) people who will help support and empower you, and seek God’s guidance in every situation!

The devils is as a lion, but you don’t have to be the victim.  Stay strong in the faith and faith building connections and activities.  Don’t be the victim.  All of the lion’s prey are not successfully taken, and neither do you have to be!  One major key, however, is to stop the PROGRESSIVE attacks (negative thoughts, words, affiliations, etc.), and this will be your victory, in the name of Yeshua.

Bless you indeed, by the grace of God,

Holy Stick Up!

Holy Stickup!

Put your hands in the air! (Psalm 134:2 – Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.)

Give me all your money. (Luke 6:38 – Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.)

Now, it’s time to die! (Romans 8:13 – For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.)

——————————

Now THIS is a glorious stick up, an anointed robbery. For everything that is taken from you shall be restored, but in a greater, better, more honorable way!

May the Lord hold us up (make us wait: Isaiah 40:31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.) that we may experience life greater. (John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.)

Bless you indeed!

Shadows

I’ve noticed quite a few things about shadows.  For one, if the sun is lower in the sky, and thus farther away, a person’s shadow is longer.  The closer that the sun gets (which is also the higher that it goes and the brighter that it becomes), the smaller that the shadow becomes.  If you could get even closer to the sun and the light is intensified even greater and greater, there will eventually become a point where you no longer see any shadow because the light and its reflections will eventually dispel all of the darkness.

Now think of how this applies to you as a believer…

Yeshuah (Jesus) is the son of God and the Word shines brightly as the sun.  As the light (Word) shines on your life, your shadows (sins, weaknesses, sicknesses, etc. – all elements of darkness) are cast to the ground.  The further you are away in your heart from the Lord, the more darkness is in your life, and the larger of a “shadow” that is cast to the ground when exposed to “the light.”

Isaiah 60:19 – The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

The closer you get to the light, however, and the higher you seek it (even to the point where you are completely submitted beneath it, fully exposed by it, with nowhere to hide), the smaller and smaller of a dark shadow you cast.  In fact, you can get to the point where the only possibly shadow left is that which is hidden under your feet.

Romans 16:20 – And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

So seek the Lord diligently.  Let there be no more room for anything to be hidden.  Let there be nothing left to be cast down.  Be in His presence.  Peace be unto you!

Bless you!

Only God Can Judge Me?

“Only God can judge me…” ~Tupac, and almost every other wannabe gangsta rapper after.

Well, you are right! Only God can judge you, and He promises in His word that He will. This is why, though it may feel better to say this phrase because it bothers you for other people to call you out on your mess, it is more dangerous to flee good advice.

People used to say, “well God knows my heart.” That is scary! For if God knows my heart, He knows that I knew I needed to go to worship Him, but were just too lazy to get up and go do it. He knows that though I know I was doing wrong, my desires to do it were just stronger than my desires to do right. And so though I am making myself feel better before man by saying that, I am actually condemning myself more before God, for I am acknowleding that I FULLY understand God’s awareness of the wickedness and spiritual neglect that I willfully participate in.

Indeed, God is the only one who can judge you, and telling those who genuinely care about you enough to remind you of God’s own Word about the wrath that you are bringing upon yourself with your copout about “judge not, that ye be not judged,” is actually a huge mistake. The wise one will actually welcome correction that is done in love, for it is written, “it is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to haer the song of fools (Ecc 7:5),” and “open rebuke is better than secret love (Pro 27:5).”

But, you’d rather have the support of your destruction, the song of fools, who tell you that it is okay, or even good, to continue in wickedness, despite you, yourself, proclaiming that God can judge you.

God not only can, but His Word promises that He WILL judge you! Jeremiah 11:20 states, “But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy bengeance on them…” Yes, not only is God judging our hearts, but shall execute his vengeance for that which is unrighteous! Just the same, “every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment (Matt 12:36).” So, in other words, all of that foolish talk, all of that vulgarity that He is not pleased with (Eph 5:4), all of that unrepentent sin, all of the voluntary wickedness, all of the hateful treatment of others, all of the covetousness, all of the sexual immorality, all of the stealing, all of the idol worship (money, celebrities, etc.)… all of the sin, surely shall be judged, by God and God alone.

But… shouldn’t you do everything you can NOW to get right before then, and actually take correction and suggestions for improvement wherever you can get it???

Whereas none of us may be perfect, as we all strive, we can help each other do more together than we ever could alone… Yes, only God can judge you, but if the people who care about you can at least try to help by pointing out areas to fix now, that is one less thing to be held against you in that day of judgment. Only God can judge you, and only He can save your soul from the disease of sin which results in eternal death and damnation, but maybe, just maybe, through the help of those He uses, that judgment doesn’t have to be so bad.

So, before being so quick to be so defensive to those who care about you and throw up scriptures like “judge not, that you be not judged” – all out of context of the full meaning of that scripture – and to copy a common phrase like “only God can judge me,” consider what that truly means… God is the only one who can judge you for your eternity, and you can rest assured that He shall!

Be blessed!

Strength in Self Forgiveness

If somebody has done something against you and you should be over it by now, yet for some reason are still mad, consider that you may need to forgive yourself.

Often, bitterness remains in a situation because we are unknowingly mad that we didn’t respond strong enough to really “teach them a lesson” for mistreating us. We also often find ourselves regretting that we trusted them enough to allow them to hurt us. Finally, we also have the situation where we were offended because the other person did something to us that we could have and maybe even had considered doing to them, but just never did it out of consideration for them, so we’re mad that we sacrificed and gave them more consideration than they were willing to give us in the same situation.

In any case, even when forgiving the other person, sometimes – even often – it is NECESSARY to also forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for being too kind, too considerate, too compassionate, too foolish, too naive, etc., to the point that somebody was able to take advantage of it and hurt you!

Forgive yourself!!!

…and in such, you shall be strengthened. Bless you.

Miracle of Salvation?

“Salvation is the greatest miracle!”

This is what they shout from the pulpit in the corporate modeled church, but where is the scripture to acknowledge this?

A miracle is an act of divine, unnatural, or unusual type of event. It is something that is performed by someone. Jesus/Yeshua’s first miracle was turning water into wine.

Show me in scripture where following Jesus, or accepting salvation, is considered a miracle! Out of all the people who became disciples – even the boisterous Simon/Peter – the Bible does not refer to their conversion as a miracle.

Where does this statement come from then?

I’ll tell you where… This is a statement made to validate weakened faith. Normally this type of statement is made in churches that seem to not really believe in the full power of the prayers where they are praying.

I’ve been to the churches where though they read the scriptures and even pray, they act like they don’t believe in what the scriptures say about divine healing, casting out spirits, prophecy, gifts of tongues, restoring life from death, and so on…. despite that these are things that the very scriptures attest.

These churches will address medical science procedures as miracles.

Why? Because, by calling something they know is common as a miracle will protect them from the let down something bigger not happening. In other words, it is playing it safe and basically saying that, “if this is all I can get to prove my faith, I’ll take it.”

God’s miracles, however are REAL miracles. God’s miracles are things like: bringing someone back from death, healing leprosy with the restoration of lost limbs, multiplying food massively, casting out vile spirits, and causing a plant to die from just speaking it. God’s miracles are not figurative, but they are REAL.

When we are ready to truly walk in faith, we will no longer call the non-miraculous as miracles, but believe in true miracles. Yes all these other things are great, but God is truly able, and we don’t have to weaken our expectations of faith to help Him out!

Street Life or True Life

Stop running the streets! A grown man should not be running any streets other than to get into shape.

If you are the age of a man, but still doing the same knucklehead stuff you did as a teenager… as your WAY OF LIFE, then somehow you have become stuck in transition. The Messiah said “I am the WAY, TRUTH, and LIFE…” and any other way is self destruction.

If you started hanging in the streets as a teenager, when do you grow up and start living at home, building a home, raising a family, establishing a career, etc., as is the way of a man? As the divine scripture says, “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (1 Cor 13:11)”

Being a man is a place of responsibility, a place of authority! Yet, having never submitted to authority, you won’t know how to properly act in authority or be a proper EXAMPLE of authority. As proper authority is about order, respect, honor, and not the childish behaviors of intimidation, rebellion, and hostility.

Yet, despite the confusion in your life, God can complete your transition. He is the ultimate Father. “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” He will help make you into the man whom He destined you to be, greater than any you would’ve ever been able to be on your own.

All it takes is your faith, trust, and for you to follow His ways, and you shall lead in yours. Choose this day who you will serve: the streets as a boy leading to destruction, or God as a man into life more abundantly?

To Be Or Not To Be… Judged

Far too often you hear where people say things like “the Bible says ‘don’t judge'” when responding to correction or teaching on something that they are doing wrong. It is one of the most misused scriptures of all. The rest of the scripture says, “lest you be judged,” which means not to judge or YOU WILL BE JUDGED by the same manner. The scripture about “removing the beam out of your own eye before attacking the speck in mine” is indicative of being hypocritical.

But what if the person is simply reading scripture, God’s Word? Is that him/her being hypocritical, or is it teaching from the Word?

What if the person who is sharing what is wrong, or cautioning, is doing so out of genuine concern of your soul? What if he/she is fully ready to be “judged” by the same manner?

Too often, this attitude and statement is used to try to either scare or guilt the person into walking away from declaring the truth because the person on defensive just doesn’t want correction, even loving correction. Proverbs actually declares the person who hates correction as “stupid” and also states that the person who hates correction will die. (And NO, this is not threatening, or saying that we want anyone to die, just teaching scripture… it is sad that I must say that because there will be some person out there trying to twist this for more than what it really means.) In other words, the person who refuses correction is dangerous to him/herself and destroys his/her own life.

On the “flip side,” I bet you that if you approach those same people with comments about their blessings, how they must have been doing something good, or how their blessings are a testament to them being good people… they won’t throw “judge not, lest you be judged” at you! If you’re recognizing them for good things, they won’t say anything of the sort about “don’t judge me” which if it’s judgement one way (and a bad thing) then it is judgement the other way.

Ultimately, it is kind of like with a young child. A young child wants to act up all day long and only be rewarded, but as soon as you get to the punishment side for his/her wrongdoings, the child will say you are being mean.

So, to conclude, the point is this… Someone saying that something you are doing that is wrong, which really is wrong, is not JUDGING! It is a FACT! Now, if you say, “it’s none of your business” that’s another thing. But if you say that, you must don’t want true friends, because true friends are going to try to help you if they see you going the wrong direction. True friends are going to tell you you’re wrong if it will help protect you from dire results. And likewise, if you go to a church or hear a sermon of someone preaching what the WORD says is wrong and take offense, then it sounds more like the “hit dog will holler” situation than anything judgement, and if offended then you are offended by God, not the messenger!

Ultimately, the only true judge is God, whom we shall all face. Iron does sharpen iron though, and we are expected to look out for each other, including correcting or advising each other of dangerous paths. And the Bible is not so much saying you are “bad” for judging anyone, but that you will be held by the same standard that you hold others, so really, shouldn’t we all seek to raise our standard and that of the entire body of Christ?

Judge? Maybe so.

Speak, Believe, and Receive

As we celebrate the month of March, known in the Western society for St. Patrick’s Day, I want to take a moment to bless you with the words that luck has nothing to do with it! Yes, we live in a time and place where things like “get rich quick” schemes, microwave mentalities, and instant gratification plague the masses. We can so easily get caught up in wishing for luck to overcome our deficits as we become engulfed in our surroundings. But God has provided us a better way… one that is assured and where luck has nothing to do with it.

Faith!!! Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1). God’s way is not a way of luck or chance, but a way of assurance as a result of obedience. When the soldier was healed by Jesus simply saying a Word, the request was granted because of the understanding of how obedience grants use of authority. (Matt. 8-9). And God established by His own example in the beginning, that the authority of the Word produces manifestation. The key, though, is not simply saying things, but saying things using the authority that you have been granted through obedience to the supreme authority.

This example was also established by Jesus/Yeshua. Before He began His public ministry, He fasted for forty days and nights (bringing his vessel into obedience), was baptized (publicly recognized under God’s authority), and then proceeded forth with power. The difference between Him and so many of us, however, is that He only spoke faith. We, on the other hand, almost always speak doubt shortly after declaring faith. Once Jesus stated His faith, such as with cursing the fig tree that produced no fruit (Mark 11:21), He did not continue with “vain repetitions” as in doubt, but stated it and left it, BELIEVING it would be done, and it occurred. He also did not go around speaking negativity into existence, as most of us never speak enough positive into our lives to outweigh the negative we have manifested.

God has absolutely NO PROBLEM with blessing us beyond our wildest dreams, and actually delights in our success and wealth, for the Bible states that it is He who “gives us the power to get wealth.” (Deut 8:18). The problem is when we don’t first acknowledge or submit to Him, and then don’t trust that it shall be done once we do. But if we shall only learn to be obedient and then control our words/declarations, then believe, we shall become open to receive solutions to any of our obstacles and the answers to all of our needs. On that note, remember to SPEAK, BELIEVE, and RECEIVE!
